My writing on climate change zeroes in on my little corner of the world--the Southwest and the Colorado River. While people are starting to leave California, many are going to...Arizona? That doesn't help anything! I don't think it's too far fetched to think that thousands might die in prolonged heat waves. I saw it in Chicago in 1995. This is the stuff that makes it so hard to write about. Maybe mass death is the only way if we don't get our shit together.
