I loved the story because I feel the same way. A lot of the unwanted "mentors" on here say you should always leave something of value for the reader. I mostly write to entertain and educate, but I wouldn't call those values. I don't leave a little nugget of wisdom at the end of every story. Instead, I tell stories. But, yup, people are reading. And that's all I wanted to convey.
