That's some real heartache. We lived in Ventura. I left in 1976 to attend college in the Midwest and never returned (to live). It was too expensive even back then! One of our homes burned to the ground in the Thomas Fire in 2017. You could see it well from most everywhere from the downtown area to the beach. Now there's nothing there. (BTW are you in Palm Springs?)
