When I was about 12 my Mom lived in a mid-rise at 999 Doheny Drive (and Sunset), so I'd walk over to Tower all the time. One time some gay guy followed me out the door and caught up with me on the sidewalk and lured me into the bathroom at the Chevron station. I didn't want to lose my virginity in that way so I made my getaway. Boy was my mom upset when I told her! Anyway, lots of GOOD memories there. Thanks for writing about it.
