One of the more ridiculous myths I’ve seen being dispensed about the vaccine is that it is being used as a depopulation plan.

Before I get into this, let me first say that I am no Trumper. I’m blue to the bone.

As things stand, the Delta Variant has a stronghold on the United States. Ninety-nine percent of those entering hospital ERs with Covid symptoms are not vaccinated. Most of these patients are in their 20s to 40s.

Another theory being circulated is that Democrats are trying to eliminate Republicans through lethal injection — the vaccine. White Republicans have always been Trump’s base, and they skew towards being less educated than Democrats. So they are the type to spread unfounded conspiracy theories.

This is idiocy at its finest. While it certainly would be positive for the Democrats, we are not here to create a mass casualty event. That is not our purpose. Instead, we want to cut the number of infections so that fewer will get sick and die.

With this many holdouts, we cannot attain herd immunity.

A more legitimate argument against the vaccine is that it is not considered safe until the FDA gives it full licensure.
